Police had to open fire when the driver was arrested

In Petrovsk-Zabaykalsky (Trans-Baikal Territory) employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate detained a drunk driver who tried to escape from the chase.

A man in a Toyota car caused interference on the roadway, and at the sight of the patrol sharply moved from the spot and left the city, said the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk. The police repeatedly demanded to stop through the loudspeaker, then made a warning shot up and damaged the wheels of the car. Even on flat tires, the driver continued driving and stopped only after the damage to the second wheel.

During the arrest, the man blocked the doors, so the police had to break the glass and use physical force. The examination confirmed the state of intoxication.

The driver has already served an administrative arrest for disobedience to police and is now awaiting trial for drunk driving.
