There are new details about the fatal accident near Tyumen driver

On the highway Tyumen — Khanty-Mansiysk there was a fatal accident involving a minivan. There were nine people in the car. Seven passengers were killed, the press service of the State Traffic Inspectorate in the Tyumen region reported.

Among the dead were four men and three women. Only two survived: a 33-year-old driver and a 57-year-old passenger. Both are hospitalized. The man behind the wheel is now in a serious condition in the hospital.

According to the agency, the driver had no signs of intoxication. His driving experience is 15 years. However, during 2026, the man was brought to administrative responsibility seven times for violations of traffic rules.

All the circumstances of the tragedy are being investigated. An inspection is being conducted into the accident.

The fatal accident occurred on the evening of October 21 at the 278th kilometer of the federal highway Tyumen - Khanty-Mansiysk in the Tobolsk district. According to preliminary data, the minivan crashed into a standing MAN truck and caught fire, as a result, seven people were killed, two more were injured. There are no children among the dead and injured, the causes and circumstances of the collision are being established.
