The Prosecutor’s office of the Ivanovo region has sought compensation for damages

In the Ivanovo region, thanks to the measures of prosecutorial response, victims in criminal cases were voluntarily compensated for more than 218 million rubles. To ensure further compensation for damage, property worth 1.7 billion rubles was seized.

The issues of restoration of property rights of citizens were considered at a meeting of the board of the regional prosecutor's office chaired by the regional prosecutor Andrei Zhugin. Particular attention was paid to the forced recovery of funds, the timely arrest of property and control over its safety.

In addition, the meeting discussed the observance of lawfulness in the application of procedural coercion measures and ensuring reasonable terms of criminal proceedings.

Following the meeting, a set of measures was agreed to improve the effectiveness of prosecutorial supervision and strengthen the work on compensation for damage to victims of crimes.
