The prosecutor’s office of Naberezhnye Chelny helped partially return the money to a man with a disability who became a victim of fraudsters, Chelny News writes.
In August 2025, attackers defrauded the 57-year-old resident more than 8.5 million rubles. The investigation showed that 295 thousand rubles from the stolen amount came to the account of another local resident.
To restore justice, the prosecutor's office filed a lawsuit in court. The court considered the case in absentia and satisfied the requirements: the amount was recognized as unjust enrichment and decided to recover it in favor of the victim.
