Drinking friends ended with shooting in the eye

A resident of Bagrationovsky district of the Kaliningrad region became a defendant in a criminal case after she accidentally shot a friend in the face from a pneumatic weapon during a feast. This was reported in the press service of the regional MIA in the messenger “Max”.

Information about the incident police received from the medical institution. “The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Bagrationovsky received a message from a medical institution about a 19-year-old girl who turned to doctors with an eye injury,” the department said.

As investigators found out, the incident occurred in a private house in the village of Znamenskoye, where the victim was staying with a couple. While drinking alcohol, the 37-year-old hostess decided to boast of weapons. Charging an air rifle bought in an online store, she fired a shot in the direction of the guest. The victim was hospitalized with a severe penetrating wound to her eyeball.

Weapons seized by police officers. A criminal case was initiated against the suspect under part 1 of Article 118 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation on causing serious harm to health through negligence, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kaliningrad region reported in the Max messenger.
