Drunk driver from Kursk will go to the colony for a year

A 40-year-old resident of Kursk heard the verdict of the Industrial District Court. He was found guilty under Part 2 of Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - driving a car in a state of intoxication by a person who already has a criminal record for drunk driving. The punishment is 1 year imprisonment in a strict regime colony. The car he was driving was confiscated into state property.

As established by the court, in October 2022, the man was already convicted for three crimes under article 264.1 of the criminal code. At the same time, he had an unexecuted sentence - deprivation of the right to engage in activities related to driving vehicles. Despite this, in June 2026, he again sat behind the wheel drunk.

In the village of Voroshnevo, Kursk district, he was stopped by DPS officers. The survey showed 0.95 mg / l of ethyl alcohol - with a permissible 0.16 mg / l.

In court, the accused fully admitted guilt. The sentence has not yet entered into force and can be appealed.
