Recidivist deceived a resident of Krasnodar for 12 thousand rubles, promising to organize a quad tour

A resident of Krasnodar became the victim of a fraudster who organized a quadro tour in Sochi: the damage amounted to 12 thousand rubles. The incident occurred when the 24-year-old was vacationing in the Olympic capital and looking for options for active leisure.

On one of the online platforms Krasnodar came across the offer of excursions on quad bikes. Having agreed with the organizer on the reservation, she transferred him an advance payment of 12 thousand rubles. Later, the tourist decided to abandon the trip and asked for a refund.

However, the situation began to develop according to an unpleasant scenario: the entrepreneur postponed the refund for a month in a row, coming up with new terms, and then completely stopped communicating with the client.

The victim did not put up with the deception and appealed to the police - she filed a statement in the duty part of the police department of the Yubileiny microdistrict. The operatives got down to business: during the search activities they established the identity of the suspect, and then within the framework of a business trip detained him directly in Sochi.

It turned out that the fraud was a 27-year-old man from the Leningrad region, previously had problems with the law — he was tried for theft and robbery. During the proceedings, the defendant pleaded guilty and fully compensated the victim for the material damage caused.

Now the man is being prosecuted, and the maximum sanction under the incriminated article provides for up to five years of imprisonment, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Krasnodar reports.
