Parents rescue two-year-old son from leopard's jaws who dragged baby about 200 metres from where family slept

Parents rescued a two-year-old son from the jaws of a leopard who dragged the child about 200 metres from where the family was sleeping. The man and woman woke up from the noise, rushed after the predator and began to drive him away with screams and stones. As a result, the animal released the boy and disappeared into the bushes, reports The Times of India.
The attack took place after midnight in Umbri village. A family of migrants from the Indian state of Maharashtra was sleeping in the open when a leopard grabbed the toddler and dragged him away.
Hearing the noise, the parents raised the alarm and began to chase the animal away. They shouted and threw stones, eventually the animal left the baby and retreated.
The boy sustained serious injuries. He was first taken to a local hospital and then transported to Junagadha Civil Hospital for further treatment.
After the attack, forestry officials surveyed the surrounding area and set up trap cells to catch the leopard. Local residents note that wild animals often come to people, posing a danger to field workers and children.
Earlier in Tuva, three hermits were taken from a hermit surrounded by bears.
