Russian for 20 years will go to a colony of strict regime for treason

The second Eastern District Military Court sentenced a 39-year-old Chita resident. The man was found guilty of treason and training for terrorist activities. This was reported in the press service of the FSB in the Trans-Baikal Territory.

According to the agency, the defendant was recruited by Ukrainian special services. His task was to participate in the organization of sabotage and terrorist activities on the territory of Russia.

The man underwent special training. After training, he collected and transmitted information about critical objects to the enemy. These data could be used for the preparation and commission of a sabotage and terrorist act.

The court imposed a sentence of 20 years in prison. The convict will serve his sentence in a correctional colony of strict regime. The sentence has entered into force.
