Russian pedophile abused the little granddaughter of a roommate and got 12 years

In the Kamchatka Territory, a 52-year-old man was sentenced to 12 years in a strict regime colony for sexually abusing the granddaughter of his partner. At the time of the crime, the girl was under 12 years old. In addition to imprisonment, the man was appointed a year of restriction of freedom and ordered to pay the victim 300 thousand rubles in compensation for moral damage.

According to the regional department of the Investigative Committee, the crime occurred in April 2026 in the house of the convict. The investigation found that the man committed violent sexual acts against a minor who, due to her age, was in a helpless state and could not understand the nature of what was happening.

According to the court, the man lived with the victim’s grandmother for a long time and knew the girl from birth. The defendant himself claimed that he treated the child as his own granddaughter. However, he did not admit his guilt in committing the crime.

During the preliminary investigation, the man was detained. Investigators gathered evidence of his involvement in the crime, and the forensic psychological and psychiatric examination established that the accused is sane and can bear criminal responsibility.

When making the verdict, the court took into account the circumstances of the crime committed. In particular, the man lived with the victim and had to take care of her. In addition, it is established that he committed the crime while intoxicated.

The man was found guilty under paragraph “b” of part 4 of Article 132 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which provides for liability for violent sexual acts against a person under the age of 14.

The court sentenced him to 12 years in prison in a high-security correctional colony with a subsequent restriction of liberty for one year. In addition, 300 thousand rubles were recovered from the convict in favor of the girl as compensation for moral damage.
