In Megion (KhMAO – Ugra), the police stopped the activities of an organized group that created two illegal gambling clubs. This is reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District.

According to the Agency, 39-year-old resident of Tyumen decided that gambling outlawed – not a reason to give up profitable business. He brought his 35-year-old brother and six acquaintances into the criminal industry.

Since the beginning of 2024, the company has opened two underground clubs in rented premises on the ground floors of buildings. The establishments were equipped with computers with special programs and worked in closed mode: without signs, behind strong iron doors, and customers were allowed only by appointment and recommendations.

During the searches, operatives seized 27 system blocks, communications, electronic media, network equipment and bank cards.

On the basis of the collected materials, a criminal case was initiated. The leader of the group was detained, the rest were selected a preventive measure in the form of a subscription not to leave.
