Russian schoolboy paid tribute to teenage gang for more than a month

In Yekaterinburg, teenagers extorted money from a fifth-grader in the toilet of the gymnasium. Under threats, the boy paid a gang of high school students for more than a month. The schoolboy told his mother only after he gave everything to the last penny - only 17 thousand rubles. This is reported by E1.ru.

According to the boy’s mother, it all happened in the spring of 2026. Two high school students pinched her son in the corner of the toilet, threatened to beat and harm the family, and then told him to carry them money every week.

A month later, the boy ran out of savings. The child became nervous and eventually became ill. The mother noticed the strange behavior and was able to talk to her son - only then did he admit how scared he was. All this time, he did not tell anyone about the threats, fearing that they would harm his loved ones.

The Russian immediately appealed to the Investigative Committee, where a criminal case was opened for robbery. After a personal reception with the first deputy head of the Sverdlovsk Investigative Committee, the case was transferred to another district of the city, but “the carriage is still there.”.

According to the portal, the criminal case was in the hands of four investigators, and the teenagers themselves are witnesses, not suspects. They do not admit their guilt, although the boy identified them both from the photo and during face-to-face betting.

Many questions rest on the recording from security cameras. Only fragments of footage from the corridors survived, since shooting in the toilet is prohibited.

The mother also complains of pressure from the defence of the accused.

The press service of the city hall said that the administration of the gymnasium provides all possible assistance to the investigation. The press service of the regional SU IC has not yet responded to the request of journalists.
