A resident of Simferopol fully repaid arrears on alimony for the maintenance of a minor daughter, when a criminal case was opened against him

A resident of Simferopol fully repaid arrears on alimony for the maintenance of a minor daughter, when a criminal case was opened against him. This was reported in the press service of the GUFSSP of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.
As told in the department, the man did not pay alimony even after the court decision, and the bailiff of the branch in the Kiev district of Simferopol initiated enforcement proceedings. The debt of the father to the child amounted to 529 thousand rubles. The arrest of bank accounts and the temporary restriction on travel abroad did not force the debtor to change his behavior.
Then the bailiffs left the man’s place of residence and took him to the department, where he was brought to administrative responsibility and assigned 30 hours of mandatory work. After serving his sentence, he continued to evade payments, so the interrogator opened a criminal case under Article 157 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
Upon learning of this, the debtor came to the reception at the office, where he was warned about the consequences of further evasion. Fearing restriction of freedom, he quickly transferred the entire amount to the deposit account of the department. The criminal case was discontinued due to debt repayment.
