Investigative Committee conducts inspection on the fact of a fatal accident in the Lida district

In the Lida district, the circumstances of an accident are established, in which two people died. This was reported in the press service of the UK, writes sb.by.

According to preliminary data, on October 23 in the Lida district on the highway M-6 Minsk — Grodno, a 75-year-old driver of a VAZ car was moving in the direction of Grodno, when making a turn, he was not convinced of safety and did not give an advantage to the oncoming Volkswagen Passat car under the control of a 21-year-old young man.

As a result of the collision, the elderly driver died. His 71-year-old passenger was taken to a health care facility, where she ended from her injuries. The driver of the oncoming car was not injured.

“An investigative team worked at the scene of the accident. The investigator, with the involvement of UGKSE specialists in the Grodno region and traffic police officers, conducted a detailed inspection, a trace picture was recorded, witnesses were questioned, a number of expert studies were appointed, the Investigative Committee said. – The Lida district department of the Investigative Committee initiated a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 317 (violation of traffic rules resulting in death of a person) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.
