Media: oil tanker ship was damaged from a mine explosion in the Strait of Hormuz

Press TV, citing data from the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), reported on the explosion of an oil tanker on a mine in the waters of the Strait of Hormuz.
In an official message on the Telegram platform, representatives of the channel specified that the incident with the ship occurred as a result of its contact with a sea minefield in the specified area.
On February 28, the United States and Israel launched strikes on Iranian targets, receiving symmetrical actions from Tehran in response. Despite the signing of a cease-fire memorandum between Washington and Iranian authorities in mid-June, the two sides later exchanged missile strikes again, and the confrontation has not yet been resolved.
Earlier, in September, representatives of the IRGC announced the introduction by the Iranian authorities of a no-navigation zone in the eastern part of the Strait of Hormuz, stressing that any movement of ships in the area requires mandatory prior coordination with the Iranian side.
