A 22-year-old man has been detained in Brazil on suspicion of killing 26-year-old country singer Alan Tones and his 23-year-old girlfriend Larissa Rodriguez. It's reported by Need to Know.
The bodies of the couple with multiple gunshot wounds were found on the morning of October 11 in a house in the district of Seylandia in the Federal District of Brazil. According to local residents, shots were heard about halfway through the third night.
The former neighbor of the musician, João Victor Rodriguez Alves de Oliveira, was suspected of the crime. According to reports, the man regularly quarreled with his girlfriend and beat her. The woman went to the police several times, but then refused to file a report.
Alan Tones and Larissa Rodriguez intervened in conflicts and tried to protect the girl. Oliveira was eventually forced out of the apartment. After that, he allegedly began to threaten neighbors, including the musician and his lover.
On the afternoon of October 11, the suspect himself came to the police with a lawyer and stated that he was not involved in the murder. He claimed to have communicated well with Tones and Rodriguez and was elsewhere at the time of the crime. Investigators revealed contradictions in his testimony and detained the man.
Tones was a member of the band 4Tons, performing in the Federal District of Brazil. Besides music, the 26-year-old hosted events and talked about his work on a blog.
