According to Gudkov, his son for many years faced serious internal problems. The details of the incident and the circumstances of the death of the young man were not disclosed.
Dmitry Gudkov is a Russian opposition politician and public figure living outside the country. He had three children: daughter Anastasia and son Ivan from his first marriage, and son Alexander from the second.
In 2023, Gudkov was declared wanted. A year later, the court in absentia sentenced him to eight years in prison in the case of spreading false information about the Russian Armed Forces.
