Stavropolets lost 513 thousand rubles, buying a quad bike on the Internet

45-year-old resident of Trunovo district became the victim of a fraudster when buying an ATV. This was reported in the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to the man, he found an ad for the sale of an ATV on one of the sites and contacted the seller to discuss the terms of the deal. After a telephone conversation, he transferred 513 thousand rubles to the specified details.

However, after receiving the money, the seller stopped communicating, and his number became unavailable. Realizing that he was deceived, the man went to the police.

A criminal case has been opened for fraud. The police urge to be careful when shopping online: do not transfer large amounts to unfamiliar sellers before checking the goods and advertising. Be suspicious of offers with full prepaid and do not trust only photos, reviews and promises.
