The court in Tula questioned the couple who locked the child in the bathroom

In the Leninsky district court of Tula continues consideration of the criminal case against the spouses Konovalov, accused under paragraph "g", "e" part 2 of article 117 and article 156 of the criminal code of the Russian Federation - in torture of a young child and improper performance of parental duties.

According to the joint press service of the courts and the regional police department, on October 19, the defendants were questioned, after which the meeting was postponed to prepare for the debate.

According to the investigation, since May 2025, the couple in the apartment in the village of Plekhanovo systematically abused the child: restricted in food, locked in the bathroom, tied and beaten.

The police, who arrived at the apartment, found the child locked in the bathroom with multiple injuries - he was placed in a medical institution of Tula. Both defendants are in custody. The next meeting is scheduled for October 21 at 9:30.

Earlier, “MK in Tula” reported that in Novomoskovsk opened a criminal case on hooliganism with the use of weapons against a 36-year-old local resident. On the evening of October 16, at Victory Avenue, a man struck a 17-year-old teenager with a knife handle in the chest for no reason, and then knocked him to the ground.
