In South Africa, the prosecution presented to the court video of the alleged surveillance of rapper Kiernan Forbes, known as AKA, on the day of his murder. The officer said he identified one of the seven defendants. The process was reported by Eyewitness News.
Forbes and his friend Tello Motsoane, known as Tibs, were shot dead on February 10, 2023, outside a Wish restaurant on Florida Road in Durban.
According to court documents, the musician was followed after his arrival at King Shaki Airport. The alleged surveillance continued on the way to the hotel and then to the restaurant.
At Friday's meeting, police officer Rajen Sanders presented recordings from the establishment. In the footage, the man moved behind Forbes. According to the witness, it was the defendant Mhlaliseni Ndimande.
Ndimande himself has previously confirmed that he was in a restaurant on the day of the murder, but denies involvement in the crime. The records presented and the identification on them relate to the evidence of the prosecution, which the court will assess.
