Sverdlovsk accused of theft in transport left in custody

In the Sverdlovsk regional court considered the appeals of the defense of the accused Zhukova Svetlana, Zhukova Valentina, Serebryakova Melody, Zhukov David, Granch Esmeralda and the lawyer of the minor accused on the decisions of the Leninsky district court of Yekaterinburg, who chose these persons preventive measures – detention.

According to the investigation, according to the channel “Courts of the Sverdlovsk region”, the accused are members of an ethnic organized crime group who came to the Sverdlovsk region to commit crimes.

Depending on the role of each defendant charged under part 2 of article 213 of the criminal code of the Russian Federation and paragraph "a" part 4 of article 158 of the criminal code. According to the investigation, on October 6, the defendants stole mobile phones worth more than 230 thousand rubles in transport and committed two hooliganisms with violence against a passenger and a conductor. Troublemakers arrested. A total of 11 people were arrested and detained.

In appeals, lawyers asked for an alternative preventive measure. The Sverdlovsk Regional Court found no grounds for interfering in judicial acts and left them unchanged.

Zhukov David, Zhukov Valentina and the juvenile defendant will remain in custody until December 5, 2026, the remaining defendants until December 6, 2026.

As reported by MK-Ural, police officers in Yekaterinburg detained a suspect in the previously committed theft of a bicycle. In September, the owner of the bike reported that an unknown person stole his transport in the yard of a house on Uralskaya Street. The amount of damage caused is 7 thousand rubles.
