The tragedy in the Mikhailovsky district: Elderly man killed in fire

In the Mikhailovsky municipal district there was a tragedy — a fire killed a person. The fire occurred in a private house in the village of Timoshevka.

The fire was reported on October 19. When employees of the Russian Emergencies Ministry arrived, the flames had already spread to an area of 70 square meters. Firefighters quickly coped with the fire, but in one room found the body of a 69-year-old man.

According to the preliminary version of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the cause of the incident was negligence when handling fire. Four rescuers and one unit of special equipment participated in the elimination of the fire.

The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia calls for strict compliance with fire safety rules. The agency also recommends visiting elderly relatives more often and helping them create safe living conditions.
