Volgograd transport police uncovered theft of 9 thousand rubles from an ATM

As told in the Department of transport of the Ministry of internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal district, the duty unit appealed Volgograd: she reported that she lost money on the territory of the station. It turned out that the girl made banknotes in the ATM, but, distracted, did not complete the operation – did not press the confirmation button for the transfer of funds. Because of this, 9 thousand rubles remained in the bill. The attacker took advantage of this circumstance: he took the money and hurried to escape.

Thanks to the coordinated work of operatives, the suspect was able to be identified as soon as possible. He was a 49-year-old resident with no permanent job. The man came to the station to withdraw cash, and, noticing an unfinished operation, stole other people's funds.

On the fact of the theft, the investigative department of the Volgograd LU MIA of Russia on transport opened a criminal case under paragraph 2 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The sanctions of the article provide for punishment up to 5 years of imprisonment. In relation to the defendant, a preventive measure was chosen - an obligation to appear.
