Three people were in intensive care after hitting an elk

In the Sumerlin district, VAZ-2114 shot down an elk. As a result of the accident, three people were seriously injured.

The accident occurred on October 17 at 00:20 on the 103rd kilometer of the Cheboksary-Surskoye highway. According to preliminary data, the elk ran on the roadway from left to right during the movement of the car.

Injured 22-year-old driver and two passengers — a young man born in 2008 and a girl born in 2010. All three were taken to hospital. They are currently in intensive care in a serious condition.

An inspection has been ordered into the accident. The State Traffic Inspectorate of Chuvashia finds out the circumstances of the incident and reminds drivers of the need to observe the speed limit and be especially attentive on country roads in the dark, when wild animals can suddenly run out on the road.
