Zaporozhye regional court has convicted three residents of the region, found guilty of attempting to commit sabotage in Berdyansk. The defendants were sentenced to imprisonment for terms from 17 to 19 years.
According to the materials of the case, in 2022, a resident of the city joined a sabotage community, whose activities were supervised from the territory of Ukraine. Later, she attracted her son and acquaintance to illegal activities. This is reported by the Governor of Zaporozhye region Yevgeny Balitsky.
Acting on the instructions of the SBU, the group members collected information about the objects of life support of the population. Subsequently, they were tasked with preparing an improvised explosive device and blowing up a gas distribution station.
Illegal actions were suppressed by FSB officers. As a result, sabotage was prevented, and all members of the group were brought to justice.
