Travel agent suspected of defrauding customers in the amount of up to 2 million rubles

In one of the cities of the Leningrad region, a scandal erupts around a local travel agency. According to customers, the owner of the company ceased to fulfill obligations for paid trips, and the total amount of damage, according to preliminary estimates of the victims, is close to 2 million rubles.

One of the first about the problem said pensioners who paid for a trip to Dagestan worth 120 thousand rubles. Instead of rest, they received a notification of the postponement of the trip, but no refund was made. Another local resident transferred to the agency 30 thousand rubles for 6 tickets for a theatrical production in the Hermitage Theater. According to her, the organizer canceled the trip, citing an inappropriate soloist and, as stated, excessive completeness of ballet artists. At the same time, the performance took place, and the money paid to customers was not returned.

School groups suffered the most damage. Three classes lost their planned excursions: two were to go to Belarus, another to Kazan. According to parents, the total losses on these trips amounted to about 1.3 million rubles. Customers who paid more than 200 thousand rubles for a tour to China, was returned only half of the amount.

According to the testimonies of clients, earlier cooperation with the agency took place without complaints, but the problems began about six months ago. Currently, the victims estimate the total debt of the owner of the company at about 2 million rubles. The agency's social media community is closed. The entrepreneur herself, according to clients, in correspondence promised to sell the mortgage apartment to pay off debts, but later moved to insults and blocking dissatisfied.
