Ural Raskolnikov Denis Pischikov pensioner tracked down after a series of murders

Lydia Ivanovna Kozlova saw a stranger from the window. The young man walked along the Moscow suburb of Likino-Dulev and looked into the courtyards. He looked like a man wanted after the murders of pensioners.

The old lady went outside and followed him.

Then I went to my neighbor and called the police. When the operatives arrived, the woman met them and showed them which way the passerby was heading.

On the morning of April 5, 2003, Denis Pischikov was detained. His 20th birthday was a week away.

During the search, he found white construction gloves, a screwdriver and a “Victory” wristwatch without a strap. The watch was stolen from the home of one of the victims.

Investigators had to establish the involvement of the detainee in the murders in the Moscow and Vladimir regions. By this time, there was evidence of a young stranger who was seen near the homes of the victims. One of the future victims even managed to tell her son how she gave such a guest tea.

On the evening of November 9, 2002, the police reported the murder of 80-year-old Minibador Mingaleeva in Potochin near Moscow. The woman was found in her own home. There was an axe nearby. Disappeared about 700 rubles, set aside for the funeral, and the old clock.

The son of the deceased Tager visited his mother on November 7. She said that two days earlier a young man came to her: he asked to warm up, and the hostess let him in and gave him tea. The stranger said that he came from Karabanov, Vladimir region.

The police checked the version about the involvement of this visitor in the murder, but they did not have a detailed description. The mother told her son about the meeting, but he did not know he would receive a guest.

On January 17, 2003, a similar attack occurred in the Vladimir region. In the village of Fedorovskoye killed Nina Melekhina. Her husband Alexander Semkin went to the store in the morning, leaving his wife at home.

In February, Vera Velikanova was killed with an axe in the village of Vasilevo. A neighbor saw an unknown man in black clothes enter her. A thousand rubles went missing from the house. The perpetrator also tried to set fire to the house.

In March, investigators received another description of the suspect.

Valentina, daughter of Anastasia Kozlova, brought food to her mother and congratulated her on March 8. On leaving, she missed a young man. About an hour later, another daughter came to the house and found the mother murdered.

Valentina remembered a black jacket and a stranger's sports hat.

At first, investigators found out whether one person or several people were acting. Gradually, similar circumstances of the attacks and coincident signs made it possible to link the episodes. The murder cases in the two regions were combined into one proceeding.

According to the witness descriptions, a photo sketch was made. Police officers searched for a young man in dark clothes, checked previously convicted for similar crimes and looked for new witnesses. Control was strengthened at the stations: between settlements wanted could move on trains and buses.

The guards went around the elderly and warned them about the danger. In the villages distributed orientation.

Some of the Writer's houses were broken into without breaking in. He could ask for bread, water, or medicine, and the masters would let him in. In other cases, he got inside himself. The axe was often found in the victims themselves - in the hay or outbuildings.

On March 18, 2003, Pischikov killed two women in the village of Gubino.

He entered the first house through a window. After the murder, he hid the owner's body in the underground and searched the housing. He found no money, took a sausage from the fridge and went to another house.

The next pensioner asked for validol, citing poor health. According to his testimony, the woman went for the medicine, and he followed her. As she was gaining water, Pischikov hit her with an axe. He found 950 rubles in the house.

The production was often only a few hundred rubles. Sometimes there was no money at all, but the attacks continued.

On April 3, Pischikov killed an elderly man in the village of Voinovo Gora. The victim’s 50-year-old daughter came to the house. The scribes attacked her, but the woman survived.

Two days later, a suspicious passerby was noticed by Lydia Kozlova.

After the arrest of Pischikov began to confess. A watch found on him linked him to one of the attacks. During interrogations, information about other episodes began to appear.

The investigative team was headed by senior investigator of the Prosecutor’s office of the Moscow region Sergey Maslakov. He later spoke of the detainee’s exceptional memory. Pischikov called the amount of the abducted, described the appearance of the victims, drew routes and reproduced the situation in the houses. I remember the location of the furniture, even if it was moved after the crime.

According to Maslakov, Pischikov acted cautiously: he used gloves and rubbed objects he touched. If the owners invited him for tea, he tried to destroy the traces of his stay. As he left, he could curtain the windows, lock the doors, and throw away the key.

During the investigation, he showed how he carried out the attacks, where the victims fell and where he hid the bodies. His testimony was checked at crime scenes and compared with the situation of houses and the circumstances of the discovery of the dead.

At first, the investigation connected Pischikov with eight murders. At subsequent interrogations, he confessed to six more. The first criminal case included 14 dead.

The Court found that the killings took place between 29 March 2002 and 3 April 2003. On separate days, Pischikov attacked twice: among the proven episodes were two murders on March 18 and 31.

The attack on the surviving daughter of a pensioner received a separate qualification - attempted murder in order to hide another crime.

On 8 July 2004 the Moscow Regional Court found Pischikov guilty and sentenced him to life imprisonment. He sought a reduced sentence, but did not dispute guilt. The Supreme Court upheld the life sentence.

Pischikov was sent to Solikamsk colony of special regime “White Swan”. However, three murders, the involvement of Pischikov in which it was not possible to prove then, remained unsolved.

Investigators checked his involvement in the murder of a married couple in Alexandrov and an elderly woman in the Kirzhach district.

Both attacks occurred in 2002, when Pischikov had already committed crimes that later became part of the first case. But it was not possible to prove his involvement in these episodes.

According to the Investigative Committee, for several years the convict underwent compulsory treatment for a mental disorder, which made it impossible to carry out the necessary investigative actions with him. Later, additional forensic psychiatric examination found him sane. Pischikov testified about three murders and participated in their verification on the spot.

The first of these attacks occurred on 4 April 2002. Pischikov came to the house on the street 2nd Likoushinskaya in Alexandrov, exposed the window windows of the veranda and penetrated inside. The elderly couple slept in the house.

The scribes killed both found in the house with an axe and a knife. He hid the bodies in the underground. Then he searched the housing and took 700 rubles, a Victory watch, an alarm clock, a rubber boat and food.

The second attack was attributed to the period from July 27 to August 2 of the same year. Pischikov entered the house on the site of Melezhy of the Kirzhach district and killed the sleeping hostess with blows of an axe. He found nothing valuable and left without prey.

In the new case, witnesses have preserved testimony about the products that were in the kitchen of the murdered spouses: canned food, butter and sunflower oil, tea. Pischikov himself said that after the murder he drank vodka and found a boat on the closet.

He couldn’t remember where he went in court. About 700 rubles suggested that he spent them on food.

In June 2025, the Alexander City Court found Pischikov guilty of three more murders and sentenced him to 13 years in prison. Given the previous sentence, the final sentence remained life imprisonment.

The number of murders for which Denis Pischikov was convicted reached 17.
