In the Maikop district of Adygea on October 24, two tourists fell from an 80-meter height into the river canyon, one person died.
As reported in the press service of GU EMERCOM of Russia in the Republic, the accident occurred in the area of Sakhrai waterfalls. Rescuers of the Adygea search and rescue squad of the EMERCOM of Russia named after Noskov went to the place.
One of the travelers died on the spot. The second victim was rescued from a hard-to-reach area of the gorge and handed over to ambulances.
