In Aksai on October 16 continue to smolder burned warehouses

A large fire in warehouses with plastic on Lenin Street in Aksai occurred on October 13.

About 9 thousand square meters were burned. The next day, they officially reported a complete extinguishing, but local residents say that the smoldering with periodic fires continues for the third day.

The wind carries pungent smoke directly to neighboring high-rise buildings. Residents complain that they cannot breathe in their homes. When the windows are open, the rooms quickly fill with smoke. The buildings are home to children, the elderly and people with chronic diseases.

Even during the fire, Rospotrebnadzor recorded an excess of soot and suspended substances in the air. Aksai residents ask to completely eliminate smoldering as soon as possible, before the smoke harms health.
