In Bashmakovsky district, the court fined a young man for stealing a moped

In the Bashmakovsky district of the Penza region, a young man appeared in court for stealing a moped from a friend.

As established by the Bashmakovsky district court, the incident occurred in the evening of August 9, 2026. A young man born in 2007, who was in a state of alcoholic intoxication, asked a friend for permission to ride his moped, but was refused.

After that, the owner entered the house, leaving the vehicle near the fence. Taking advantage of his absence, the young man got on a moped, started the engine using a key in the ignition lock, and went to ride through the streets of the village.

However, around 22:30 the young man failed to manage and committed a road accident.

During the trial, the defendant agreed with the charge, so the criminal case was considered in a special order.

When imposing punishment, the court took into account mitigating circumstances and the absence of aggravating ones. As a result, the young man was found guilty of theft and a fine of 40 thousand rubles was imposed.
