In Buryatia for the day there were 33 accidents, more than 20 drivers detained for drunk driving

Over the past day on the roads of Buryatia, traffic police inspectors revealed 291 violations of traffic rules. Among the violators were more than 20 drunk drivers who were detained and removed from driving. In total, 33 accidents with mechanical injuries were registered in the republic during the day, including accidents with victims, the State Traffic Inspectorate reported.

In Okina district, the 31-year-old driver of the UAZ Hunter car 5 km from the village of Sayany towards the village of Orlik did not cope with the management, drove off the roadway and crashed into a tree. Injuries of varying severity were received by the driver and 29-year-old passenger.

In the afternoon in Kyakhta on Lenin Street, a 56-year-old driver of a Toyota Premio car hit a 12-year-old boy at an unregulated pedestrian crossing. The student with bruises was taken to the hospital, after examination and medical care he was released home.

Tonight in the Kabansky district on the federal highway R-258 "Baikal" near the village of Beregovoy, a 60-year-old driver of a Dav truck collided with a semi-trailer in front of the Mercedes. The driver of “Mercedes” at this moment hit a horse that suddenly ran out on the roadway. As a result of the accident, the driver of the Dava received bruises and abrasions, but after examination and medical care was released.
