In Chekhov in a fire in an apartment building killed a woman

On the night of October 14 in Chekhov there was a fire in an apartment building on the railway station street. The fire broke out in the apartment on the fourth floor. By the time firefighters arrived, the flames had engulfed a significant area, and smoke managed to penetrate into neighboring apartments - the residents had to be evacuated.

According to preliminary data, a woman died as a result of the fire. The official cause of the fire has not yet been named. However, residents of the house suggest that the fire could have broken out due to the attempt of the owners of the burned-out apartment to warm up - there is still no heating in the house.

According to neighbors, in the autumn the temperature in the apartments drops to uncomfortable values, and people are forced to use additional heaters. This, in their opinion, could lead to tragedy.

It is worth noting that heating problems in Chekhov are not the first time. In January of this year, more than a hundred apartment buildings and medical institutions remained without heat and hot water due to accidents on heating networks. Residents of the railway station and previously complained of regular interruptions with heat supply and wear of communications.
