In Chuvashia, the hunter is suspected of illegal deer mining

In the Sumerlin district opened a criminal case against a 69-year-old resident of Sumerli. He is suspected of illegal hunting, which caused damage to the state in the amount of 320 thousand rubles.

In the evening of October 15, the police received a report of gunshots in the forest near the village of Bolshaya Algashi.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Chuvashia, the man had a permit to extract one roe deer at the age of one year. However, during the shooting, he did not verify the age of the animals. The examination established that the age of the extracted individuals was from 1.5 to 2 years.

A criminal case was initiated against the hunter under part 2 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

The police also noted that the man is an entrepreneur and heads an organization that issues permits for the extraction of wildlife for hunting.

The investigation is ongoing.
