Investigators have charged a 40-year-old resident of Novocheboksarsk, the driver of an Audi car, in the case of a fatal accident on the A-151 highway, in which four people died.
According to the court decision, the suspect was detained and placed in a pre-trial detention center. The criminal case is investigated by the department for the investigation of an accident of the Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Chuvashia under Part 5 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic rules, resulting in the death of two or more persons by negligence).
The accident occurred on the afternoon of October 12 on the 12th km of the A-151 Tsivilsk-Ulyanovsk highway. According to investigators, the Audi driver overtook in a prohibited place and collided with a Kia car. The foreign car was thrown into the oncoming lane from the impact, where it crashed into the VAZ-21099 moving towards it.
The collision killed the driver and three passengers of the domestic car, two of whom were minors. The investigation conducts the necessary examinations and asks eyewitnesses to contact law enforcement agencies by phone: 8 (8352) 24-18-72.
