In Yekaterinburg detained a suspect in the theft of a bicycle

Employees of the police department of Yekaterinburg detained the suspect in the previously committed theft of a bicycle, the press service of the GU MIA of the Russian Federation in the Sverdlovsk region reported.

In September, the owner of the bike reported to the police that an unknown person stole his vehicle in the yard of a high-rise building on Uralskaya Street. The amount of damage caused is 7 thousand rubles.

Employees of the threat squad OP No3 identified a suspect in the theft of a bicycle and detained him. The suspect was previously repeatedly convicted for similar crimes 26-year-old resident of Yekaterinburg. He confessed and said he sold the bike to an unknown person.

Investigation of the police department opened a case under part 2 of article 158 of the criminal code of the Russian Federation (theft). Police are checking the defendant for involvement in other similar episodes of this illegal activity committed on the territory of the city, the Department for Media Relations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Yekaterinburg reported.
