In Gelendzhik, arson of garbage cans caused damage to the city by 250 thousand rubles

In Gelendzhik detained 41-year-old local resident. He is suspected of damage to municipal property and theft.

As reported in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Krasnodar Territory, a previously convicted man set fire to garbage in tanks. As a result, municipal property suffered, and the damage amounted to about 250 thousand rubles.

In addition, on the embankment of the resort city, a man noticed a backpack on the bench. Inside, he found a mobile phone belonging to a 67-year-old local resident, took it and fled, police added.

A criminal case was opened against the suspect under articles on damage to property and theft. The defendant faces up to 5 years in prison.

Earlier in the center of Krasnodar, a drunken man smashed the entrance to the building, confusing it with a hotel.
