In Kolchuginsky district in Abramivka, road communication was restored

The intervention of the supervisory authority put an end to the infrastructure collapse in the village of Abramivka, Kolchuginsky district. The reason for the prosecutor’s inspection, initiated on complaints from residents of low-rise buildings, was a gross violation of the legislation on road safety.

Due to the inaction of the district administration, access roads were not equipped to part of the settlement. During the period of heavy rainfall, residents were actually isolated. The situation posed a direct threat to life: emergency services - fire brigades and ambulance crews - did not have the technical ability to travel to homes to provide assistance.

The Kolchugin interdistrict prosecutor sent a statement of claim to the court on the obligation of the municipality to eliminate violations. Themis sided with the supervisory authority, recognizing the claims as justified. In pursuance of the court decision, the district administration concluded a contract with a contractor. At the moment, road work has been fully completed, and transport links with the problem sector of the village have been restored.
