In Crimea, winter sowing is proceeding as planned: 95 thousand hectares have already been sown out of the forecasted more than 500 thousand hectares for the harvest of 2027. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea
About the campaign said the Minister of agriculture Denis Kratyuk. According to him, sowing is going according to plan, and timely replenishment of soil moisture reduces the risks for the winter wedge and creates prerequisites for the formation of strong and healthy shoots.
“This is the basis for the future harvest,” the press service quotes him as saying.
The forecast volume of sowing of winter crops for the harvest of 2027 is more than 500 thousand hectares. In fact, at the moment 95,000 hectares have been sown. The pace corresponds to the calendar plan, farms are increasing volumes.
Weather conditions facilitate work. In the third decade of September fell from 23 to 66 millimeters of precipitation, and in Belogorsk — up to 75 millimeters. This significantly replenished the moisture reserves in the soil and provided an optimal level of moisture for the germination of seeds and the development of winter crops.
In the coming weeks, farmers will maintain high rates in order to meet the optimal agrotechnical deadlines.
Autumn sowing in the Crimea began in the early days of October. The first winter wheat sowed Krasnoperekop district, followed by Dzhankoy and Krasnoarmeysky. In total, the work will cover 14 municipalities of the republic.
