In Kurchatov sent into custody accused of drug trafficking

In the Kursk region, the Kurchatov city court decided to detain a 28-year-old local resident. The man is accused of attempted illegal sale of narcotic substances on a large scale, committed using the Internet.

According to the investigation, the defendant in the case from September 29 to October 2, 2026 acted as part of an organized group by preliminary conspiracy.

Together with unidentified accomplices, he intended to distribute prohibited substances in the territory of Kurchatov and the Kurchatov district. It was planned that drugs would be transmitted to consumers via the Internet.

However, to bring the criminal intent to the end, the attacker could not for reasons beyond his control. On October 2, 2026, the man was detained by law enforcement officers. During the events, drugs with a total weight of 25.6 grams were seized from illicit trafficking.

The court granted the request of the investigation and chose against the accused a preventive measure in the form of detention for two months - until December 18, 2026 inclusive.
