In Mari El, the number of registered offences decreased by 17.1%

The total number of recorded crimes decreased, including robberies, fraud and car thefts. The decline in cybercrime is particularly noticeable: crimes using IT technologies decreased by 36%. At the same time, law enforcement officers have become more effective in detecting the facts of illegal arms trafficking.

Positive dynamics are also observed in the social sphere. There were fewer offenses by drunk citizens, repeat offenders and minors. The overall detection of crimes has increased, for certain types of theft and causing serious harm to health reaching a maximum. Traditionally, the detection of robbery and rape is 100%. They also managed to solve 7.3% more crimes of previous years.

The number of car accidents decreased by 7.4% (547 accidents), 44 people died in them, 720 were injured. The number of accidents involving children decreased by 22.5%. For nine months, 94 accidents were recorded due to drunk drivers.

Migration remains under strict control. 4,900 foreigners are registered. 3,000 administrative violations were identified, and the number of decisions on the removal of violators increased by 37.5% (77 people). The Ministry noted that the measures taken made it possible to contain negative criminal trends and ensure the safety of residents of the region.
