In Minsk, a pedestrian was hit by a car wheel. This was reported in the UGAI GUVD of the Mingorispolkom, writes sb.by.

The accident occurred on Thursday morning on Rafiev Street. According to preliminary information, the 66-year-old driver of the Lada car did not give an advantage to the 71-year-old man crossing the carriageway on an unregulated pedestrian crossing.

The pedestrian was taken to a health care facility for examination.

The traffic police reminds that when approaching the pedestrian crossing, the driver is obliged to reduce the speed of movement, up to a complete stop of the vehicle in order to give way to pedestrians.
