In the Nizhny Novgorod region from 56-year-old man seized a drug laboratory

In the Nizhny Novgorod region, police liquidated a large drug laboratory. In custody was a 56-year-old local resident, previously convicted of fraud, he is suspected of drug trafficking, said the press service of the Ministry of internal Affairs in the region.

According to the agency, the man equipped a laboratory in an extension to his house: there was specialized equipment, and he grew plants for subsequent sale. During the search, 50 bushes of drug-containing plants, a box and four bags with dried substance, as well as pallets with a drug were seized from him. In addition, the suspect found a workplace with scales, packaging materials, fertilizers and consumables.

A criminal case was initiated on attempted illegal production of drugs on a large scale (part 3 of article 30, paragraph 4 of article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
