The driver lost consciousness and made an accident with four cars

In the evening of October 21, on Unification Street in Nizhny Novgorod, near the house No. 14B, a massive fatal accident occurred. According to preliminary data of the traffic police in the Nizhny Novgorod region, the cause was the loss of consciousness of the driver behind the wheel.

The 59-year-old man driving a Nissan felt ill - presumably from heart failure - and lost consciousness. The car crashed into the Lada Vesta, driven by a 57-year-old driver, then into the Nissan X-Trail, driven by a 74-year-old man, and then drove into the oncoming lane and collided with the Volkswagen Tiguan (driver 62 years old).

The culprit of the accident died on the spot before the ambulance arrived. The driver of the Volkswagen Tiguan was taken to hospital with injuries.
