In Novgorod forester faces up to 4 years in prison for forgery with wood

In the Novgorod region are investigating the case of fraud in the field of forest management. The precinct forestry of the Kashir forestry became a defendant in a criminal case of official forgery, the press service of the SU IC for the region reported.

The investigation believes that the forester issued documents according to which 200 cubic meters of wood allocated to two residents for the construction of housing were spent for the intended purpose. The audit showed that the information was deliberately false. Because of these actions, the treasury of the region lost at least 200 thousand rubles.

At present, the investigative authorities are continuing their work: details of the scheme are being clarified and the involvement of other persons is being checked.
