In Novorossiysk, two local residents are accused of defrauding investors for 44 million rubles

In Novorossiysk completed the investigation of the criminal case against two local residents 33 and 50 years. They are accused of fraud with investments in the scrap metal trade.

The defendants created the appearance of a business to buy scrap metal at a low price and its subsequent resale, explained in the press service of the GU MIA of Russia in the Krasnodar Territory. According to investigators, the men attracted the money of citizens, offering them to invest in this activity, but in fact did not engage in the declared business.

Eight people were recognized as victims. The total damage amounted to about 44 million rubles. The criminal case with the approved indictment has already been sent to court. The accused face up to 10 years in prison.

Earlier in the Krasnodar region convicted telephone fraudster who stole 3 million from the mother of the deceased soldier of the SVO.
