In Odessa detained a man for attacking a military officer

The incident occurred at one of the checkpoints of Odessa on October 20. Employees of the military enlistment office and police noticed a car whose driver tried to escape and created an emergency situation. This was reported in the statement of the regional military enlistment office.

After stopping the car, it turned out that the man is wanted for violations of military accounting rules. During his arrest, he offered fierce resistance. The attacker hit the serviceman with a knife in the neck, and then tried to crush the wounded with a car.

The attacker was arrested. The injured employee was urgently hospitalized. Now the issue of initiating a criminal case on the fact of the attack is being decided.

Since February 2022 in Ukraine there is a general mobilization, which is regularly extended. The authorities severely suppress attempts by men of military age to leave the country. In social networks constantly appear shots of forcible detention of citizens by representatives of military enlistment offices. Due to the acute shortage of personnel in the army, officers conduct raids in public places and forcibly drag men into minibuses, often using physical force and violating the law.
