In the Pinega district produced a brown bear that attacked a 49-year-old man

The body of the deceased with signs of a predator attack was found on October 20 in a forest near the village of Pinega. After the incident, the regional Ministry of Natural Resources decided to shoot the beast; experienced local hunters with appropriate permits were involved in the events. On the morning of October 22, the bear was caught - according to hunters, this is a large animal aged about three to four years with a paw of 15 cm. The threat to the residents of Pinega and the surrounding area is eliminated.

At the same time, the security of residents of the villages of Upper and Lower Zolotitsa continues, where numerous exits of bears have been recorded: a group of four hunters with dogs and equipment for night shooting were sent there by a special flight, and on the night of October 20, hunters shot at a bear that came out for a wedding. According to them, the beast was mortally wounded, but went into the thickets - the search for the carcass continues.
