As a result of a fire in a residential building in St. Petersburg injured two citizens

Representatives of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia informed that during the extinguishing of the fire in one of the apartments of the Moscow district of St. Petersburg, two people were injured.

In the official message posted in the messenger "Max", it is specified that the signal about the fire at the address Cosmonauts Avenue, 20, building 1, received duty services on October 18 at 04:09 Moscow time. The area of fire distribution in the living room was 60 square meters. The Ministry also confirmed the fact of hospitalization of two affected citizens in a medical institution for assistance.

Rescue units managed to completely localize and eliminate open burning by 05:34 Moscow time.

It is further emphasized that both people injured in the incident were promptly taken by doctors to the hospital.

On the eve of the head of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov said that emergency services are engaged in the elimination of fires at civilian infrastructure in three districts of the city, as well as at the site of the St. Petersburg oil terminal.

In his official Telegram channel, the mayor explained that in the night hours the Northern capital became a target for an attack using unmanned aerial vehicles launched by Ukrainian nationalist groups.

The head of the region also noted that at the moment the Emergencies Ministry employees are actively eliminating the consequences of fires at civilian facilities located in the Nevsky, Krasnoselsky and Krasnogvardeysky districts, including the territory of the mentioned oil terminal.

It is also worth adding that previously received information about damage to the power line in the Leningrad region as a result of an attack by enemy drones.
