In Rudna 18-year-old dropper became a defendant in a criminal case

Employees of the criminal investigation department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia “Rudnyansky” identified and detained an 18-year-old local resident suspected of illegal circulation of means of payment. In the police, such intermediaries are called “droppers”.

During the operational-search activities, it turned out that in December last year, a young man in the messenger agreed to a questionable “part-time job”. The scheme was to transfer money from unknown persons to his bank account with their subsequent withdrawal to the accounts specified by the curators. Out of selfish motives, the young man performed several such operations, receiving a percentage of the amount.

The investigative department in respect of the suspect opened a criminal case under part 4 of article 187 of the criminal code of the Russian Federation “Illegal circulation of means of payment”. This article provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for up to 3 years. The case is currently under investigation.
