In the Rzhaksi district, a man was shot and burned

A suspect in the murder and burning of the body was arrested.

Investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Tambov region initiated a criminal case against a 51-year-old resident of the Rzhaksi district. He's suspected of murder.

According to investigators, the tragedy occurred on October 5. Being at his place of residence, the suspect during the conflict beat his acquaintance, and then shot him with a hunting rifle. To hide the traces of the crime, the attacker burned the body of the deceased on the territory adjacent to the household, and the murder weapon - a hunting rifle - threw into the reservoir.

Only on October 12, as part of the investigative and operational measures, law enforcement officers found fragments of the body of a 50-year-old victim who had previously been missing.

In the near future, the court will consider the petition of the investigation to elect the suspect a preventive measure in the form of detention. The investigation continues: investigative actions are being carried out to establish all the circumstances of the incident.
